Children have many options when it comes to extra-curricular activities. What sets MTKG’s Little Trunks program apart? Unlike Little League, or general after school programs, the Little Trunks program teaches more than a discipline for self-defense and offers more than a channel to release the abundant energy children come with. The Little Trunks Program offers the opportunity to learn anti-bullying education, the pursuit of healthy lifestyles, Thai Language and Culture while aiding with self-esteem and confidence.
How It Works
The classes offered for our Little Trunks are not side-by-side with adult students. We have 2 slots every day, Monday through Saturday, where you can book straight through our online app or website. The students have a curriculum, are given homework, and have graduation ceremonies where family and friends can come! We have 2 time slots every day at 3:15 & 4:15 pm Monday – Friday, and one spot at 8:45 am on Saturdays (for detailed information you can see our schedule). You can book a class straight through our app or website.
WHY CHOOSE US
Aside from the fact that the courses are isolated from other adults, our classes are instructed by our Head Trainer Kru Neil, who has over a decade of working with champions and children alike, and an instructor with child development training as well! Why? Because working with children requires experience and training.
Frequently Asked Questions
No. Children do not spar. Even our adults do not spar unless they want to and meet certain requirements for it. Children learn the fundamentals of Muay Thai, which is great for self-defense, but are always in the ring with an instructor. The goal of the Little Trunks is to provide children with the tenets of training without the pressures of competing.
You can see our ceremony schedules on our website under the Little Trunks section. Each ceremony allows a child to advance to new techniques, training and a new colored shirt to signify which level they’re in.
The Little Trunks Program offers ALL the benefits of joining a sports league but offers something more valuable that children can actualy use in the future. They will learn discipline, self-defense, healthy eating, confidence, and a new culture! Ask yourself, “What will my child benefit most from: learning a sport or learning self-defense and discipline?” Our courses are geared for the future and offer fun while we’re at it!
The Little Trunks courses are managed by both Kru Neil, our head instructor, and a trained child development expert.
